Elementary Literacy III: Foundations of Literature
Using a contemplative approach to literacy, this semester course investigates the world of literature. Various genres, cultures, time periods, and perspectives are examined as students consider how to develop diverse students' critical thinking, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course also explores the interdisciplinary component of literature, interweaving the novels we read into all subjects to deepen our relationship to learning.
