Enrollment Status and Financial Aid

A student's enrollment status affects the types and amounts of financial aid awarded.

If students are enrolled less than half time (6 credits) for any semester, including summer, they are not eligible for financial aid for that semester. Exceptions: (1) Pell-eligible undergraduates may be eligible for partial Pell grants even if enrolled less than half time; (2)  some internships may meet the criteria for half-time status for federal loan eligibility. Students who are registered for extended thesis or manuscript are not eligible for financial aid.

Students who borrowed student loans must complete an exit interview upon leaving the university or dropping below half-time status.
